Hi Everyone, Still no jump! If it's not raining it's too windy. If it's not too windy it's too cloudy. Sometimes it's too windy, too cloudy and it's raining. I've been out to the DZ a few times and we've had a couple of "almost" days but it just hasn't been quite calm enough. It's really frustrating when they are able to take tandems up and I'm just sat there watching the windsock and seeing how fast the clouds are scudding accross the sky. I feel very sorry for Tobi, the new AFF student, as he still hasn't been able to do his first jump yet. He must be going mad. I know that a lot of you have been sending thoughts of good weather my way, which has been wonderful. However, I'm starting to think that maybe there is a problem somewhere on the good thought transmission lines. Perhaps those good thoughts that are originating in the northern hemisphere are getting reversed somehow on their way down here? So, how about if those of you in the northern hemisphere wish for bad weather for Rotorua? Anyone in the southern hemisphere, please continue to wish for good weather for Rotorua. It's worth a try! Nothing else to report really, apart from me getting very fed up. I'm very glad I got the Playstation2 to watch DVDs and play games on. One of my friends at the DZ has leant me a heater which has made a huge difference and I'm not forced to spend all my evenings in the pub now to keep warm.
Hope you're all well, |
