Good morning. Well, today's weather for Rotorua is cr*p. This looks likely to last until about mid afternoon when we're expecting it to be replaced by some even more cr*p weather. Over the next few days we can see a front of cr*p moving slowly in which will eventually replace the current cr*p with a band of cr*p that looks like it might turn into real cr*p over the weekend. The long-range forecast is looking cr*p. Hi Everyone, I'm not happy! Did ya guess? I still haven't been able to jump. The cloud is very low and thick and it has rained and rained and rained. I know I'm lucky that I managed to get six jumps in last week. It was actually good to have a couple of days off as I really was exhausted, but this is getting very frustrating now. Of course, if the weather is bad for skydiving it's not good for sightseeing. If it's just "iffy" then I don't want to go out on a day trip in case it clears up and I have to rush to the Drop Zone. I have a crick in my neck from walking around and looking up at the sky all the time. I think the fact that I'm so fed up about not being able to jump says loads about the way I feel about skydiving and puts some perspective on the PJJs. Well, thank you everyone who's been crossing their fingers for my next jump but you better un-cross them before you do yourselves an injury. The weather forecast is actually slightly better for Friday and Saturday but it's so difficult to tell. It's quite windy at the moment so even if the cloud clears I might not be able to go up. Bye for now, Ian. |
