I love sitting in the door and looking down. To think that there were times during AFF that I was so scared I couldn't look down at all - or even get out the door on one occaision!
Just about to go. That's Keith behind me and I can only assume that it's Brendan behind him, although to be honest it doesn't look like him at all!
That'll do nicely! I love that moment as you launch yourself out into the air. I don't feel it in my stomach the way I used to when I first started but I do feel something wonderful as I dive out.

There's usually a moment where I feel the transition from the initial dive down into levelling off which is just awesome. This isn't that moment but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Jumping above clouds is great because you get a real sense of being in the sky and it gives you a sense of distance - it also looks very beautiful.

Checking my height.
I bloody well will arch! I seem to have been falling flatter and flatter and after our last jump together, Brendan gave me some advice reagarding my arch (or lack of it) which was along the lines of thrusting a certain part of my body towards the ground while making animal noises! I don't remember that from the AFF instruction but it works! OK, I know I'm backsliding as well but at least I've got a decent arch and was falling at a hell of a speed.

Keith's got down to me and docked and Brendan's on his way to us. We seem to have fallen right past Paul. I was just concentrating on keeping a good arch going and decided the other buggers could catch me up.
Brendan's still coming after us.
He's there and Paul has got down to us as well.
I like it that you can see a bit of ground through the gap in the clouds.
Where did Brendan go?
Ah, there he is. When we were looking at these pictures afterwards he said that this arching business was hard work so he decided to go head-down.
And into the cloud we go.
And out the other side.
Brendan leaving us to it.
Bye Brendan.
I think that's Brendan under canopy.

A shot of the airport and the PLA.
And another.
The PLA taken just as Paul's coming in to land.
