Date: 5th September 2005 Subject: Still here! Finally jumped again! Well, it's been over two months since my last jump. Work, weather, money - all things that have been getting in the way. Yesterday (Sunday 4th Sept.) I finally got myself out to the DZ. Only did the one jump but it was awesome to be in the sky again. Jumped from 14,00ft from a Turbo Finist. I just did some flat flying and some backloops and turns. I was a bit stiff because I haven't jumped for a while but it still felt fantastic. So now I've done six jumps in this country. Not quite how I thought it would have been going but at least I've done some jumps here. Since I last put a news item up here my friend Lorraine has been up to visit me here in Sheffield. We hadn't seen each other for over a year and it was completely awesome to see her again. We got very drunk and sat up into the small hours talking and watching skydiving videos. I think it was the best weekend I've had since I moved to Sheffield. Cheers, Ian.
