Subject: Been to a UK Drop Zone. No jump - too windy!

Well, I've finally got round to getting myself to a Drop Zone over here in the UK. It's the first weekend I've had that I haven't had to get things sorted at the flat and although I've still got loads of stuff to sort out, I've been getting really restless about not jumping. I looked on the web and found the site for Target Skysports at Hibaldstow, which is about an hour's drive from Sheffield. I rang them this morning and they'd had a couple of tandem loads go up but the wind had picked up a lot and they were on hold. I had a chat with them and said I'd come out anyway just to say hello and look around.

It was amazingly exciting to think that I might be getting a jump today. I got over there and went into the office and met Becs who I'd spoken to on the phone. We did the paper work and she showed me around. It's really impressive out there. I didn't get to jump as the wind was up around 25 knots and they weren't going up. I'm hoping that tomorrow the wind will drop and the sky will stay clear! It would be so good to jump again. I'll put it up here as soon as I have any news.

Cheers, Ian.
